Prerequisite: None.
Objectives: Upon successful completion attendees will be able to:
- Identify what a CMS is
- Understand key benefits of a CMS
- See how DITA content can fit into a CMS
- Know how software and CMS tools work together
- Ask specific vendor questions related to CMS tool selection
- Understand how sample content can be loaded into a CMS and published

An Introduction to DITA
Course-at-a-glance: This one hour seminar is developed for people who need to learn what DITA is, how it can benefit you, and what things to specifically look for when planning new tools or legacy file conversion.
Prerequisite: None.
Objectives: Upon successful completion attendees will be able to:
- Identify XML tagging and syntax in relation to DITA
- Understand the DITA specification and the core set of elements it uses
- Identify Topic, Reference, Concept and Task elements for use as stand–alone files or as part of a map document
- Understand DITA map and reltable functions
- Name a variety of tools used to create DITA content
- Identify key issues to consider when implementing DITA and converting legacy content
